The Beast in the Jungle is a novella written by Henry James and this is the first time that I am reading something like this. I was spellbound for some time after I completed this one. I have read many love stories before but this seems to be a complete different one. Although it was not clear from the start whether this can be termed as a love story at all or not but as the story progresses, my intuitions were hinting towards that. The relationship that John and May shared was fascinating to look at as a modern girl. In the modern society people actually get involved in such kind of relationships where there are no commitments or restrictions.
